This cuvée comes from the Verenay terroirs in the north of Côte-Rôtie.

SOIL GEOLOGY

Mica schist terroir.

GRAPE VARIETY

100% Syrah.

PRODUCTION

973 bottles and 60 magnums.

VINIFICATION

Manual harvest in crates on September 21, 2023. On-vine sorting in the plot and a second sorting at the sorting table. 35% whole cluster. Gentle foot treading. Only a few light pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation in autumn. Aging in demi-muids and 1 to 3-year-old barrels. After 20 months of aging, the wine is bottled after light filtration on May 5, 2025, on a fruit day.

TASTING

The elegance of Côte-Rôtie’s terroirs, with notes of violet and black fruits. A powerful, concentrated structure, retaining great finesse, which will make it an excellent cellaring wine.
